I love Halloween.

Absolutely LOVE it.

It’s always been one of my favorite holidays.  I love the smells and the pumpkin shaped Reece’s cups (let’s face it, pumpkin anything) and the costumes and an excuse to wear fancy fake eyelashes.  I love orange twinkle lights and Halloween movies.  (When I say Halloween movies, I mean like Hocus Pocus and It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, because I’m a big chicken.) As long as you keep clowns away from me in any way shape or form, things are lovely.  Ohhhh and black cats.  Particularly Mr. Binx Ownby (BO for short)….

My husband got him for me from the animal rescue league last year, and we are only SLIGHTLY worried he might be part panther…

If he gets bigger than our full grown German Shepard, Greta, I’m gonna have some questions about his heritage.

We’ve even been really getting into the Halloween spirit at SSJ headquarters. Joanna, one of our resident amazingly talented artists (and one of my favorite people in the whole wide world) is being a certain wizard’s patronus for Halloween this year. She made this little beauty this week to go with her costume.

Aren’t you just in love? Harry Potter himself couldn’t have magically whipped one up. I think it’s perfect!  Joanna is the authority in all things fabulous geeky (I mean that in the very best way) and can create something for anything you can imagine. Who DOESN’T need a star wars themed necklace for the premier of the newest movie!?!?!  These are honestly the best gifts for anyone who has to stumped for Christmas!
